Holland Bloorview Foundation

The SunRype TRi KiDS Triathlon Series is proud to welcome and support Holland Bloorview Foundation.

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation is committed to creating a world of possibilities for kids with disabilities. The largest foundation supporting childhood disability in Canada, Holland Bloorview Foundation was established in 1996 to inspire community interest and raise funds in support of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

Thanks to generous donors, Holland Bloorview Foundation grants millions of dollars each year to Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, helping kids with disabilities receive the best care possible, while accessing innovative technologies and stimulating quality of life programs to help them realize their unlimited potential. In addition, the Hospital provides specialized programs and clinical care for children and youth with rehabilitation and complex care needs to enable them to participate in life to the fullest.

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital focused on improving the lives of kids with disabilities and the leading pediatric rehabilitation teaching hospital, dedicated to being at the forefront of clinical care, research and education.

We learned of Holland Bloorview through our friend Wesley who completed his first triathlon in 2016.  Learn more about Super Wes  and his story here.

Their vision: A World of Possibility

A partner of Holland Bloorview, Food for Tots, is the leading children’s caterer providing affordable, high quality meals and snacks for children attending day care and child care centres, and schools.

Food for Tots was founded to make a difference in the lives of children by providing quality, healthy and delicious food children love. Food for Tots understands the importance of children developing good nutritional habits at an early age.  We help families and educators by providing children with the right nutrition for their growth and developing minds.

Be sure to support Holland Bloorview by purchasing a water bottle at the races this season.

BC Children’s Hospital

PrintEvery element that makes BC Children’s Hospital so important to BC’s kids would not be possible without the generosity of supporters and friends. From the tiniest toy that puts a smile on a youngster’s face to the groundbreaking pediatric research that’s helping to find better treatments and cures for many devastating childhood diseases, pledges raised by TRi KiDS athletes help ensure that the most precious members of our society – our children – receive the best possible care.

Funds raised by TRi KiDS athletes will go directly to the Child Life Department. Child Life helps kids and families cope with distressing events through various interventions, including play.  Providing play and other normal activities, such as art and music, can help with the coping process.  Child Life Specialists endeavour to meet each family’s unique emotional and social needs.

Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation

PrintWe also welcome Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation as a new partner this season. The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation inspires the community to invest in excellence in child health, research and family centered care. TRi KiDS athletes will be supporting the Kids Helping Kids Program, making a difference for the 93,000 kids and families who rely on care from the Alberta Children’s Hospital each year.

As the official fundraising body for the Alberta Children’s Hospital, all money raised by the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation is re-invested in the hospital and child health needs in this region. Through the generosity of our donors they are able to provide funding for child health programs, specialized life-saving equipment and advanced pediatric research and education.
